I am in the process of warranty work and I am curious if the 2002 tail lights would fit on a 2000MY. Can anyone please give some insight to my question. I already talked to a service manager and he said that they are the same dimensions BUT the mounting studs are different. Lastly, if there are any 2002MY S2K's in the San Francisco Bay Area I would like to meet you up and see if it fits. Lunch would be on me. Thanks!

Not fogged up, but leakage. Since yesterday's storm, I have a puddle sitting in each of my tail lights. Anyways, the service manager did say something may be different. That is why I would like to meet someone in the Bay Area that has a 2002 so that I can see if this is true. So until I can find someone willing to meet me up my car is going to be sitting at home with a little eco-system in each of its tail lights .

Sounds like a free replacement to me!
If it is not a repair covered by Honda, please tell us!
Otherwise spend the money on a go fast component instead.

They should fit. Leaking isn't good, they should change them.

'00-'02 Accord sedans have different taillights than '98-'99 Accords even though they are approximately the same dimensions and are all the same generation.
