A thinner (softer) front bar will increase oversteer.
A thicker (firmer) rear bar will increase oversteer.
I'm curious to know if the new bars are made from a more rigid material. There are times when size alone does not tell the whole story.

What is also needed to understand this change is the 4-wheel alignment settings. If they have been refined for 2003, the changes alone to the sway bars will not tell the whole handling story.
