I doubt honda screwed anything up.

Forum members bitched about the rear window from day one; the '02 has a glass rear window. Forum members bitched about the cheesy center console carpet that Rick Hesel fixed with his beautiful leather cover. These are but two of the several changes incorporated into the '02 model. Coincidence? I think not, jnmunsey. I appreciate the fact that perhaps Honda looks to a forum like this one to monitor feedback from owners. A forum which probably represents the majority of people in the World who own this fine automobile. And I don't consider the ideas "unoriginal or trivial".

The stook isn't the first convertible to come with a plastic rear window. It also isn't the first to come with one which subsequently was replaced with a glass window.

Nearly every car mag that tested the Stook had issues with the plastic window and the carpeted console..

I've read no evidence that suggests Honda uses this board for future design decisions. I've run into about 6 stook owners this year alone that have never heard of this board and zero who have heard of it... Some of you may be here now..

As for being a newbie, I've been a member for over a year(back when the board used to crash all the time and we'd lose our accounts left and right)...

Yeah, maybe I did get up on the wrong side, but the more I read this board and the more I watch others the more I get annoyed.

It amazes me to see people with nice cars treat others who have the same nice car as if they were their brother(s), but when a car-less stranger tries to talk to them they can be total jerkoffs.. I see it all the time and it miffs me.

Yes it is just a car... I hope you all get door dings today..

I'm getting a warranty replacement plastic rear window today. I hope I don't get door dings (or cigarette burns or scratched plastic) to go with my replacement rear window.

Yes, I prefer a durable, transparent, unwrinkled plastic window to a tiny glass window.

I also prefer a $15,000 sports car that will do zero to 60 in 4 seconds and handle like on rails on dry roads, rain and snow.

The glass looks looks better and better to me. I almost always have the top down (or the hardtop on) but I don't like things broken. Better a durable glass than a delicate plastic.

I think that Honda does monitor this board from time to time. Heck, the miata's started with plastic rear windows and switched to glass. If Honda wanted, why didn't they just start with glass? If you think about it, honda did take some ideas from this site or maybe some other site. Another example is I see a metal dead pedal on the 02' model and wasn't that Mingster's idea?

I don't think Honda needs a site like this to build cars, but I'm sure they need it to see how they can improve the flaws in their build.

In the photo of the car, it looks as if they have eliminated that strange assymetry between the driver door and the passenger door so they can mount the tweeters symmetrically. Anybody know if that is true?
