Default 2003 key

i just drove my parents 2003 accord...
nice changes! more luxury-
my favorite is the new key. the 03 accord key has all functions on the key- unlike our key which has a key attached to the remote device.
anyone know how hard it would be to get an 03 accord key to work with our cars?
or are the 03 s2000 keys same as the accord?

Somebody already tried that and determined it will not work at all.

thanks intededaccel!
and the 03 has the old type key?
it seems strange that the s2000 is honda's top of the line car (at least as far as cost goes), but it is given a second class key!!!

The 03's do not have that crap on the key. They do have a trunk opener though.

hey gabe- you would prefer to have the stuff hanging off of the key?
all models have had a trunk opener...
i think it would be nice to just have a key instead of the key with the remote stuff hanging off of it-
i know its just personal preference.

My MINI has the "all in one" key and it's GREAT - a single key that controls all functions - open windows & sunroof, lock and unlock, hatch release, it has it all........versus the Honda's key + remote. Hope the S2000 gets it soon!

why wouldnt the 03 accord key work? is the the immobilizer chip? is it programming the key to work with the remote keyless? because i cant imagine the thickness of the accord key would be a problem...if it were, couldnt it just be thinned out and cut like a regular key?

My 330i has the kelyess entry (and alarm) and trunk release all in the key. It sure is sweet, and does not take up the extra pocket space of a key fob. My guess would be future Honda models will follow the lead of the Accord and offer key-fob-less keyless entry

I drove my old T100 pickup today (I trapped a stray cat and had to take it to animal control) and it is the ONLY time now I use a KEY to unlock a door. I am way spoiled by keyless entry and trunk pop.
