Automotive News reported last week that the S2000 will be restyled and receive add hp in 2005. So don't look for any hp changes in 2003 or 2004.

 

i heard the '03 is being retuned to be more forgiving (in the handling department); also, i've heard a glass rear window is in the mix

so, if you want an s and wouldn't mind driving a used example, definitely go for a second-hand. i would think the girlier suspension in the 03 would take away from the fun factor.

 

I can't wait til June/July of 2004, when eveybody starts to perdict/make up what the '05 model will have.

For example:

1) 3.0L, Inline-6, with 320hp. 18" wheels. 2800lbs.

2) 2.4L, I4, with 270hp. 17" wheels. 2600lbs.

It's gonna be a warzone here.... Friends would become enemies..... Buddies would become "PAL!"......

No -- I have a copy of the 2003 sales brochure, no engine changes.

 

I heard that there won't be any my 2002 or 2003!

 

I have heard to MY03 will have less torque.

 

No mechanical changes are being made for the 2003 MY. The rumors of a re-skin on the 2004 are accurate, believe it or not.

 

According to most dealers, they stopped making the S2000 in 2001.
