Default 2003 S2000 Is Now Semi-Retired!!!

I have had my S for exactly 1 year now and put on over 27,000 miles. I've decided to put it in semi-retirement and used it weekends only. Up until now, I've used it as a daily driver. I was afraid that it was getting too beat, so I bought a "beater" to use instead. I looked at Civics and the CRV, but got an incredilble deal on an '04 PT Cruiser Touring. The car/truck listed for $24,000. and I picked it up for $16,300. You can't beat that price and...it's a turbo automatic too. It doesn't have nearly the same power, fast steering or cornering ability that the S has, but to put on the kind of mileage I do here in Florida, it's a damn site more comfortable. My left knee was starting to give me problems from all the clutching while in the S because of all the traffic. I can tell you through, the novelty from driving the S every day never wore off. But, time to give it a rest.

Great pick up, I'm not a fan of PT cruisers but a Turbo for that price is a sweet deal.

Good deal! I rented a PT in Maui and test drove the turbo when they first came out. I like them and wouldn't mind adding one to my "stable." At the time of the test drive, they didn't have the manual tranny. Do they have it now and did you get it or an automatic?

You can get a 5 speed HD Getrag (I think that's what they call it). I got the automatic because of my bad knee. I just couldn't take the clutching in traffic every day anymore.

Definitely a good deal. I heard most dealers a tapping on premiums over the MSRP for the turbo model.
