Be sure to go to Daewoo's website and order your brochure with the name Jacques Strappe!
......................
I should point out that we S2000 owners have much larger cojones than those wimpy Daewoo owners, and had better be sure to order Le Jacques Strappe Tres Grande.

I'm pretty sure 03' is the last year and I really really think the Monte Carlo Blue is going to be an option while they might lose another color. And I think you will have the option of a black/red interior instead of an all red or all black interior. Just my 2 cents and we'll know I'm right in a couple of months.

As far as I've heard, the S2000 won't cease production for a good 5 or 6 years... I mean, hell, look how well it's selling? why not keep the cash cow mooing?

I agreed... since it's hand build it's not logical to redesign it and re-train the staff for a new model. Honda will probably sell it for as long as they can just like the NSX.

Last week, I was sitting in First Class on flight from Tokyo to San Francisco next to a gentleman named, Mr Okaro. Turns out Okaro San is the owner of the Japanese advertising agency that has the Honda account and is himself an S2000 owner. He shared with me his personal despair, shared incidently with the top management at Honda, over Automobile Magazine's choosing the Mazda Miata over the S2000 in their 2002 "car of the year" selections. This snub has been met with a challenge to the entire Honda team - the S2000 must win the under $40,000 sports car category or heads are going to roll. To that end, the engineering team has quietly developed the following modifications to be included in the 03 model:

* Special Carbon Fiber Wheels developed in conjuction with BBS.
* New Ceramic Brakes
* A lowered windshield that improves airflow and reduces noise with the top down
* A blueprinted and balanced engine with improved heads and pistons that will deliver 300 hp
* Run flat tires and removal of the spare tire
* HID fog lamps in place of fake air scoops
* New factory X-brace added under the engine
* Options for "03 will include air condition delete and carbon fiber hoods

With the new motor, lightened load etc the new 0-60 time will be under 4.7 seconds. The first 4 cars off the assembly line will be hand delivered to Road and Track, Motor Trend, and Automobile, and Car and Driver.

Get real... if it ain't broke don't fix it!

Good one....I can only imagine everyone salivating, drooling and wetting themselves at how authentic your post sounds only to read the last sentence.

I do not understand why this is such a big deal...we are all enjoying the s2K experience so let us spread the word.

The Del Sol ran from MY '93 to MY '97 or 5 years. so expect the S2000 to run the same; MY '00 to MY '04
