2003 Vortech Impressions
Finished the install last week. Took it out for a fun drive with some other so cal S2Kers last Saturday.
The kit was missing a few parts (tensioner spacer, 90 degree fittings) but Vortch sent out the needed parts within a couple days
The kit is very well put together and easy enough to install.
Be careful while drilling the radiator support with the self tapping machine screws. Almost drilled right thru the radiator. I used metal hose clamps for all the hoses. Installed the relay for the water pump right next to the under dash fuse panel.
Make sure to check s/c belt tension and all hose routing.
Reuse stock fuel pump screen.
Removal of the rear tray is easier than I thought it would be.
The install took about a month of working weekends on it.
Driving the car is quiet an experience. It feels like a Cavi/Sunfire under 5000 rpm but when you get on the cam it rocks! I used to like 3rd but now 4th is a lot of fun. 100mph comes up so much faster. Feels like the clutch is slipping though. Hopefully the S/C will quiet down as it breaks in.
Just wanted to share.

You did not happen to do a pre and post 5-60 mph run did you? I would really like to see how much a SC helps in this range but would like to see 5-60 times instead of 0-60 so the launch is not an issue and the times more reflective of the actual performance gains.
