Thumbs up 2004 issues

I've just got 534 miles on my new 2004 and it's a great ride!! I have two issues that I need help on from the veterans. The vinyl boot that covers the top when down, pops up and out of place when I drive on the highway at highway speeds. The two clips that should slip under the rubber flange don't stay in place and the boot sucks up and out of position in the air stream. What's the fix or trick in keeping it in place? Also, the drivers seat belt shoulder strap vibrates in the air slip stream next to my ear and sounds like an electric razor. How can I stop the vibration? Thanks for the help.

I dont use the vinyl boot but as for the seat belt issue. Maybe you can buckle the seatbelt with no passenger to stop the vibration.

I had the same issue with my boot when I first put it on. I set it out in the sun to let it heat up and I was able to bend it just enough to get it to fit better. It's not a perfect fit, but it doesnt pop up anymore. I've never had a seatbelt buzz like that, but the drivers side vinyl strap that holds down the boot has done it a few times.

I have the same issue with my boot, and I've never been able to resolve it. I've stopped using the boot. As far as the buzzing noise from the boot strap, you can resolve that by twisting the strap a few time before fastening it.

I've not heard of the seat belt problem.
