Yea, that thing on the trunk might be XM. Check it out. XM radio for the 04' S will be ready in the fall.

I don't like the new looks. It's hard to improve on perfection without messing things up. My guess is the original designers spent way more time perfecting the look they wanted and intended, to the minutest detail, for the S2000 at launch, than was spent changing it for change sake to attract new buyers. The front has lost it clean aggressiveness, the look of a snake or shark with gills (original faux vents), and unique indicators. The rear looks fussy like a BMW's. Now it's just another "pretty" car and has lost it's uniqueness. Not to mention the inexcusable drop in redline.
If I were to win the lottery, I would buy a new '03 and store it in nitrogen till my current one wears out.

well here goes my 02, honda should've added a coastal metals or grille tech grille for a nicer front, the instrument cluster is a real let down, how about an oil temp or oil pressure guage or ammeter or all 3!!
intead of a crippled tach and a tiny clock.. For some one who asked earlier in this thread when you stroke a motor you lose high end as you have more reciprocating mass to fly apart when the revs get hi and I don't think they are using titanium rods. From what i've seen of the performance specs i would rather supercharge my 02 for a more powerful motor than buy an 04 for any great increase. To me the front and rear lights are just well lights and not very important unless they functioned alot better than earlier ones which i don't know. I hear the hid's might be self leveling and that would be cool, i think.
The wheels are a great upgrade and its about time honda did that but I already have a set of volks that look alot nicer.
The good news to me as an 02 owner is that there is no reason to sell mine, in fact I think I like it better
I do hope that lots of people go out and sell your earlier cars and all the go fast parts so that I can get some real deals on superchargers, carbon fibre, and suspension upgrades

I am of the opinion that you shouldn't mess with perfection. I like the restyling of the car but the 9000 rpm redline is a must have for this car. People here in the US are so obsessed with torque that Honda has bowed to accomodate their wishes. I hope that this practice does not continue. Good job on the interior and exterior styling. Bad job on dropping the redline for 10 pound feet of torque and equivalent horsepower.

Anyone notice the "useless" door nets that were on 02/03 models have been replaced with what looks like a horizontal pocket that runs the length of the door?

Clear Headlights look cheap and not legal in most states like a ghetto S2000 civic haha..........Also I have a 2002 I like the 2004 look and so what about 9000 rpm whatever gets me Faster results for acceleration and I wonder what the new gearing will do for 1 to 100 and coner and exit acceleration... ONLY THING IS WHERE IS THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM so I can go to all the meets without asking for directions.
