Since the 00-03 Owners have "Vintage" badges like myself, can someone make "New" badges for the 04 and post them here?

I know why Honda would keep the old 2.0L around is because they still intent on racing in the 2.0L class for JGTC.

Doesn't Japan tax cars based in part on displacement? - they do in Europe - keeping 2 cars around does not prove your point as I understand it...
This is just what I told STL as well. I had read that the (or one of) cutoff point was 2 liter. Hence my (half joking) statement that the 2.0 would become the "poor mans" S. But I think WhoAmI brings up another good, potentially valid reason as well.

BTW, it's kind of hard to tell from just one photo but it looks like the new front facia is more rounded overall with less of the "arrow with the point cut off" look. I like it better myself but thought the old style looked fine as well.

roadrage, that photoshopped 04 Berlina looked pretty sweet didn't it?!!

I think honda maybe trying to move this car up the scale in price also.
Lower rpm now and maybe even lower when they add the automatic option.
Like say 7k.

I don't think they will add an automatic option. If you think people on this board is upset about the lowered redline....eeek...watch out. Automatic for an S2K?? Not gonna happen. My opinion....of course...that's unthinkable.

I understand the marketing point and I know that the "known" changes with the MY04 is broaden the appeal of the car to the masses. I just don't think Honda is ready to add an automatic option to the S2000. No inside sources here, but I'm pretty sure that won't happen anytime soon.
