Test drive both. You really can't make a choice without first test driving them both. Then look at factors like, do you want a back seat or a convertible

That's an easy no brainer for me. I'll take the driver's car please.

rx8 looks good, except for the rear windshield portion of the car. I choose S2000, but then again, I'm biased.

i liked the old rx7 a lot... not sure i'm too thrilled about the new rx8 with the suicide doors. Sports cars should have 2 seats.

I also don;t like the RX-8, the lines are not as clean as I thought and the look is totally different with the S. It following the path of the Saturn. The S is 2dr. 2 seater and convertible, but the RX-8 is none of those.

The S2000 already beats the RX-8 in performace, so the S2X00 is going to really kick it's butt. Plus the RX-8 is still a Mazda and has an engine that hasn't really been tested and has a history of mechanical failures. Then you don't have a convertible top in the RX-8 which really sucks.

I took a ride in a RX8 with a factory driver at Mazda Rev it up. The car had 4 people in it and it was still really fast. It did seem a little more loose in the turns. They are both good cars, but I still like the S2000 better. I don't care for the front fenders on the RX8. It would be nice to carry 3 passengers though.

Kind of hard to compare the RX8 with something that doesn't exist yet, at least not for most of us.
