Hello everyone, I am currently in the market for an 04 S2000, partly in fact because I am intimidated by the tail-happy nature of the 00 - 03. I am looking at new and a small variety of used. I have tracked down an 04 GPW with 1,200 miles on it. It comes with the optional Honda car cover and Honda headrest speakers. After everything (no tax needed on private sellers in state of GA) for $30,500. Car is in MINT SHOWROOM conditon. Just wondering what you guys thought about this???
THANKS!!!

You can get a new one for cheaper than that. I'd say no more than $28k.

I know that Ganley Honda sells them for $30,995 but thats before tax tag and title, so add on at least another $2000 in there and you are up to $33,000. This one is essentially new (1200 miles) and its $30,500 out the door, no tax or anything. So, 1200 miles for $30,500 or 12 miles for $33,000. The used one then seems like a good deal to me then, right?

Go Ganely, I did. You can do at least as good as that pre-owned deal, maybe better on a new S2k. Plus the saving you will get on any accessories should make it an easy decision.

You will love the 04 if you want a more planted, less twitchy ride. I find it extremely difficult to get the tail happy with the new suspension and wider tires (compared with the 01 that I had). It does not take anything away from the car's abilities, just makes it more predictable and enjoyable from the avg. driver to the enthusiast driver.
