Default 2005 Release Date?

It looks like the train wreck was for real.

Since I don't want a "located" car, and I really don't want an '04 delivered in late June, I was thinking about delaying to an '05.

Sorry to start speculation on the new models when the current year is still in production.

I'm thinking with the shutdown of May production, It may be better to punt.

Thanks
BD

I also would like to know since I'll be ready to purchase about the time and would prefer to pick up the later model year.

Interesting. I was unaware of a "May shutdown" date. Definitely something to think about.

Another way to look at it; When was the first '04 delivered this past fall?

the shut down date for May is only to switch plants from Suzuka to T----(forgot the name). I think Honda still plans to build 04's after that. But not 100% sure.

If I were you, I'd definitely wait for the model year 2006. That year the car will be four wheel drive, 350 hp v6, 1,900 lb, and it will have a hardtop that folds into the trunk. It's slated to do zero to 60 in under 4.8 seconds and get 60 mpg. If the MSRP comes in near the projected $28,450.00, I'm trading my '01 for sure.

posted 9 days prematurely.
