My wife's sister's mother-in-law's hairdresser's niece just bought a new Accord and her salesman said that...

Check this out, Honda might discontinue S2000 after 2005.

The chance of honda discontinuing the S2000 before 2008 is less than zero.....the only way that happens is if sales drop to the point of the car being unviable....

They've invested too much money in the MY04 refresh to even consider it....

Why discontinue it? Is everyone here that insecure, have some confidence!

I drove a 6sp C5 corvette today and i felt like I was in a large American 4 door sedan. The ride was so nice. nice? Who wants nice? I got in my 03 and went home.

Look at the US car market (obvious) trend - who has copied the Miata who sold 500,000 cars in the US? - the BMW Z3 got in line, but it was a flop so they have brought in the Z4, for a typical configuration of $40,000US. The 323, 325, 328, & 330 and now a 6 series soft top, Oh yes let us not forget the - mini cooper soft top, Sebring, Mustang, PT Cruiser, and cadillac all have brought in soft tops. Could the trend be more clear? DUH, yup

I wouldn't expect any changes other than some possible JDM colors.

And, no, honda did NOT invest a significant amount in the 04 update. bumpers and a stroke are not major changes.

uhhhh the MY04 has a lot more changes than that, some of them affecting the car dynamics in a more than noticeable manner...

I'm fully aware of all the changes. regardless, the cost was not significant. Honda probably made up the incremental cost with 500 cars.
