As far as we know, yes! Except for paint schemes.

Go to Under the Hood and look at the 2006 thread at the top of the page.

Enjoy.
I guess we'll know more in time. I wasn't talking any important changes, as that's obvious they are alike, but you rarely see an identical model. Even if they change the color of the cup holder door, or the door handles, or something meaningless and minor like that to show some sort of difference between each model year. I guess all we know right now is that the MSRP went up $200 for no reason at all, other then them raising the price.

I just am curious to know that if you lined up an 06 Rio Yellow S2K, and an 07 Rio Yellow S2K, if you could tell what year was what, without looking at the vin, or build date, or you'd be totally dumbfounded and confused. All in due time. )

It'll be like 2000-2001, or 2002-2003, or 2004-2005.

If you can get an 06 Rio, I can't see any reason to go for the 07, except that your resale is a year newer.

I'd get an '06. DBW, VSA, and headrest speakers are not minor upgrades. Weather you consider these additions worthwhile or not, they will add resale value to your car beyond the one year difference between an '05/'06.

I had a choice between new 05 andd new 06 back in August. Went with the 06. I had read dozens of threads about snap-overstear, and wanted the VSA. Now I'm pretty sure that snap-overstear doesn't apply to the ap2, if it every applied to any year.

If you can get a great deal on the 05, then take it. But price should really be your deciding factor.
