Default 2006 Leather Seat Question

I was wondering if any other 06 owners have experienced this. I noticed that the part of the leather on my drivers seat where your butt sits has now loosened up, and it's no longer flat and flush like the passenger side. I had seat covers on it throughout summer, took them off, and now I noticed that the leather has loosened up and now is bubbled up, like it stretched. I suppose it's not a big deal, but it's a bit annoying to see this seat like this already after 1500 miles, and the passenger perfect. Am I the only one this has happened to? My old 01 never did this after several years and a lot more miles. I'm not sure if this common, or I just have a crappy made driver's seat. Thanks!!

Have any pictures to illustrate? It sounds like you're talking about the smooth, perforated leather portion of the seat and not the textured side bolsters. If that's the case, then I can say with certainty that I don't have it on my '03 seats. I know the '06 cars have a different leather for the bolsters but I think the perforated backing leather is the same throughout all model years.

I think it is normal also. After a long trip, I noticed that the leather has stretch a little. But stretches back to normal though.

I agree if you check it out after having driven the car the seats will have some streching.
Otherwise, I don't have any problem with the seats.
Why did you have seat covers over your seats?
Not sure why you would need them on new seats.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'll have to take picture to illustrate. Mine won't ever come back to normal I don't think. The car sat for a week, then I pulled off the seat covers and saw it. The reason I had seat covers is because I do most of my driving on this car with the top down in summer, and it's so much more comfortable with seat covers. I hate sticking to the leather in sweat, and the heat they get from sitting with top down in the sun sometimes, so seat covers are great IMO for that reason alone. Of course I take them off once summer is over.
I'm 145lbs, so I don't think weight is the issue here.

It seems to be common amongst 06 owners that certain parts of the leather are looser than others. The fit of the 06 leather is just worse that in previous models. With mine, the side part of one of the seats was much too loose. Driver seat area started to loosen and wrinkle very soon. I have replaced the leather with quality leather and custom color a while back. Compared to real leather, the stock stuff is very thin, and the guy told me the bolster parts are not even real leather. Seems like an area where Honda had to cut costs to keep the price increase to a minimum after fitting VSA and drive by wire.

From a looks standpoint, the 06 seats appear to be higher quality, but they are not. The sides not being real leather has become common because generally the sides are supposed to last longer with this synthetic type leather. My old RX8 was like that, and I think that's a good thing. The seats on my 01 were strong and durable, but the leather was not very soft, and the sides did wear nicely. I suppose maybe it was soft at one time. The car was already 5 years old when I got it. These seats do look nice, even if they did cut down the quality of leather in them. They are also more comfortable IMO. I'm gonna just have to live with that stretched seat part. It doesn't really matter anyway.
