Default 2006 NSX and "Updated" S2000

I was taking a look at the current edition of Motor Trend (i know, i know) the other day, with the nice full cover pic of the Ford GT on the front, and on page 28-29 there is talk of the new 2006 NSX. It states near the end of the excerpt that "The NSX will follow an updated Honda S2000, another aluminum-bodied rear-drive model built in the same Japanese factory."

Do you think this comment is referring to the most recent "updates" involved with the MY2004, or does Honda possibly have future updates in the works for the 05 or 06 model?

Could someone else take a read and tell me how they interpret this statement? Again...I know it's MT.

I interpreted it to mean the updated S2000 is the MY04. I find it hard to believe Honda would update the MY04 and then again a year or two later.

The S2000 is not an aluminum-bodied car. That tells you everything you need to know about Motor Trend.

However, Honda has updated the car significantly every two years so far. It's entirely possible that '06 will see some changes, but don't expect anything drastic like a complete redesign or anything.

Oh...and the NSX...everyone has been making predictions on when a new one will arrive. So far, everyone has been wrong. I wouldn't get too excited.

The '04s and '05s are likely the last batch of the AP1s, dressed up with pretty words and numbers on paper to sell as many as Honda can before the major change in 2005, as a '06 model.

Motortrend is the worst publication, ever. Ever.

Please, do not read Motortrend.

Yes, indeed it is. That's a far cry from being "aluminum bodied."
