Are there any pros to buying a MY 2007 over a MY 2006 that any of you are aware of? I know '06 was the first year that DBW and VSA were implemented into the car -- and I was wondering if there have been any habitual problems associated with those new implementations in 2006 s2k's.

The only change was to the ecu. Not sure what it was for, but they are pretty much identical cars.

 

Absolutely nothing. It is identical.. The ECU thing is already change started from the 2006 already. Which is reprogrammable/reflashable.

 

Yes, the 06+ ECU's are reprogrammable/reflashable, but....There was a very minor change to the ECU for 07 and they have different numbers.

As everyone has stated, their pretty much the same. I haven't heard of any problems the 06's are having due to first implementation(electrical, mechanical, or whatever) compared to the 07's. But it does seem that a few of them still have the same problems all S2000s have(grinding 1st-2nd, popping out of gear, etc.) So don't be surprised with those issues.

 

There is one HUUUUUGE difference.....

The calipers on 07+ are painted in that goldish silver color.

Calipers on 06 look like they were pee'd on.
