Little by little, I'm starting to like the CR model.
According to the Road and Track article, the proposed replacement for the S2000, the S800, will be smaller.

Surely Honda will be selling non-CR model 2008MY S2000s, right? I sure hope so; I'm looking to pick up a new 08MY (non-club rice) in the autumn!

According to the Honda website. The CR will be a trim option for 08 so that tells me that there will be the regular S offered. I can't see only CR's being sold in a model year.

Yeah, they will have a MY08. The Ap1 went 5years (some markets had a MY99). The AP2 will have a 5 year run with the MY08. Then, it's a crap shoot ... AP3 in MY09 or drop the S2000 and intro a new model as stated above ...

2003 was the last year for the S2000, and that is a 110% factual statement

I hope this thread doesn't get locked. I think the 2009 model change makes real sense. It is too bad Honda isn't trying to do something to draw the market into the 33K price range. They could have kept improving the S platform like Porsche keeps improving the 911. Given the light weight of the car, all they really needed was about 40 more horsepower to keep up with the Evos and WRX Stis of the world. I have always believed that a V6 would fit right in and probably not disturb the 50/50 weight bias. Either that, or a true factory turbo option built up on a lower compression block that could generate 300 ft lbs of torque and 300 hp.

Factory turbo would be great but with the "reliable" Honda name I think that will never happen. I also have heard that the last year was 2007, not only that but it
