I need more sounds man... Can this mod be done? Has anyone done it. How much will it cost? What needs to be replaced/ added/ changed?

Thanks!

You'd need to replace the roll hoop plastic with the 07 pieces, and I think they fit fine, and run the wiring, but if you need more sound, you should start with a better HU and door speakers, maybe add an amp and a sub.

I already have a better head unit, but I wanted to get speakers that aren't blocked by my leg and are so far from my head.

As far as a sub, I haven't figured out what I am going to do about this. I don't want to give up ANY room in my trunk and I heard that the units under the seats don't really work.

trust me man, i've been fooling with the audio in MY07 for quite some time now, trying to make this convertible sound as if it were a factory hardtop. Let me be the first to recommend against the roll bar speakers as they are complete crap, and once you've installed them and begin to regret the extra money spent, there are not many choices in upgrading them aftermarket-wise ...there are better options out there if your really dead-set on putting speakers near your noggin

EEWWWW... no S-pods!

Those rollbar speakers ARE crap, plus they are just tweeters. You want better sound? Do the behind the seat speaker mod. Makes a HUGE difference!

If you have enough power (like from an amp) the door components are plenty loud. If you are looking to add an amp but don't want to lose space, mount the amp over the spare tire, over the gas tank, or against the trunk bulkhead.

Headrest speakers from Honda don't seem worth the trouble, Spods are pricey and not worth it from some people I've talked with, but ymmv. Peakers behind the seats are an option, but they are behind the seats, so they're muffled. You're already complaining that your door speakers are blocked by your leg...

If you want volume, you need power, not speakers.

5.25's are not tweeters. How large are those speakers behind the seats?

There are not 5.25s inside the roll bars. In S-pods, yes. Mine are 6 1/2. They are only muffled if you have the seat pressing them into the bulkhead.
