Isn't that a European model, with the front headlight washers? That dealership is in Georgia...

 

I've seen a few BMW dealers selling M3 sedans that are "2012". The problem is that production of the sedan ended in late 2011. There are NO 2012s. It isn't only this one dealer/brand that doesn't know their inventory.

 

The "Ultimate Edition" - sold the final year only in White with HT.

 

If not mistaken, in Europe autos sitting in the dealers/lot or showroom 1 January become a legitimate new MY regardless of the date of mfg. If this is the case, an '09 would be a '10 and noted as such on all paperwork that came with the car. The car described by the OP has headlight washers(?). Could be a European model that was never sold in 2009.
Plenty of europeans around here and should be able to verify that this is true or not.

 

Still its on a US dealerships site.. they are actually local to me.

 

I guess it could still apply but the question might be -"why send a european model to the states in the first place"?

 

The real question is how did a 2010 model win the 2008 President's Award!
