29 Gr for a new 2002. yeah or nah?
I just ran Kelly Blue Book reports and got the following figures for a stock '02 S2000 w/ 1000 miles in my home zip code of 94577:
"Used car retail sale value" = $33,690.
"Trade-in value" = $27,295
"Private-Party value" = $30,645
The values differ a bit for different regions, so you'e have to run the numbers in your own zip code.
If the numbers for Buffalo are within 2 or 3% of these, I'd jump on the $29k offer pronto!!!

Hey CC, and fellow western NY'er...
Sounds like a very good price. I've seen a couple of '02's listed at about same, but not much lower. From reading here, I suspect you can probably work an '03 for near invoice ($29,785) to a tad over $30K. But if you hold on for 6 years, little depreciation advantage to the newer one. Still, I'd use that as a bargaining chip and see if you can squeeze a bit more, or get an '03. Please report back on your final decision and experience.
