OVERKILL!

Will not help in the power department and everyone will stare at you, not because they think you are cool.

While I wouldnt do a straight 3". Why is everyone saying 3" is overkill for the s2k? Any proof? Look at the gains from 2.75", best so far. If a company makes a good 3" then who knows until you try it?

REVZ TO9 03-20-2006 06:49 PM

so maybe 2.75 or 3 inch piping single exhaust might actually work for a N/A S2K?

2.75 so far has the most proven gains. Like the T1R70R. But I don't think enough have tested 3" to know

A NA car needs some back pressure, a full 3 inch exhaust from the header back with no mufflers or cat will most likely lose power. Plus the car will be way too loud and sound like crap. It's your car so do what you want but IMO you will be wasting your money.

REVZ TO9 03-20-2006 07:54 PM

whats the current stock piping size? Also, would I lose power with 2.5 or 2.75? or just 3?

I'm not sure what the stock pipe size is. I'm guessing 2 1/4 inches. Here's a pic of the chasis of the S2000 which clearly shows the exhaust. It's a little large so be patient and let the pic load.

It's from a AP2 S2000, an 06 to be exact.

my 3inch system feels amazing on my NA S. Midrange power has improved a lot, and top end power is amazing. Ofcourse I'll know for sure once I dno this weekend.

^ I'm curious to know what your NA w/ a 3" exhaust puts down, keep us posted. I can only imagine how loud it must be on a NA car though.
