350Z more common
Even though the Nissan 350Z has only been out for a few months, they already seem to be more common than S2000's, at least where I live, and we have one of the highest concentrations of S2000's around.
Seeing several S2000's per day was making me feel like my car was becoming commonplace, but seeing so many 350Z's this soon makes me feel a little better.
Is it the same way in other parts of the country?

There's been less than 30,000 S2000s sold in the U.S. since its introduction in 1999. I wonder how many 350Zs have already been sold nationwide? Maybe getting close to our level already.
I have no great fear that the S2000 is going to become commonplace anytime soon.

I called one of the local Nissan dealers and one of the salesman said they sold 48 in December. (Winter is a good time for sportier cars here). That would mean one of the seven dealers here in Phoenix is selling 600 a year?! If that was the high volume dealer and the low volume sold 10, average dealer 25 - that would mean approximately 175 sold in Phx/mo, 2100 a year at that pace! This does not include G35C estimates. Does that number sound reasonable for a population of 3.5million people?
