Can you give us more info?

Why?

What didn't you like about the Z?

What pursuaded you to get the S?

Yes what made you change your mind to the "S"?
I am wondering since there is much debate as to which is quicker, has better handling? etc. etc.

some of us just have to make mistakes in order to get to the very under-estimated S2000

and just if you're wondering what nissan-board's are thinking right now:

now go out there and get to work (go catch some )

I had a choice to make when I bought mine (Sept, 2001): wait and get a 2002, wait and get a look at the 350Z or get a 2001 now. I decided to get a 2001, since I didn't like the looks of the small glass back window. I also didn't like the looks of the silver trim rings around everything, either. I was able to get my order in for one of the last MY2001's in the only color that I was interested in: red.

All in all, I'm very pleased with the decision that I made, especially about the S2000 Vs the 350Z. I love my S2000, it's ALL sports car. The Z isn't, it's mostly fluff in the interior that I didn't want to begin with.

If you want to get info. on my decision to trade my Z for the 2000 go to the excellent My 350Z .com site and go to the Problems Forum-It will literally make you run to your 2000 and celebrate! Let me elaborate! Probably the most damaging problem facing Z owners is the cupping/feathering issue that wears out tires from 1 to 2000 miles! Nissan is at a loss to explain what to do as well as trying to allign the auto with varying specs!!!!What to do if you cant take a trip because the tires become unusable! In addition there are window streaking problems, tranny problems, Bose radio TSB. and other issues that scared me to death! I decided that I was getting out before the word gets out about these and other serious issues re: the Z. Go to the Z site and see for yourself-I loved the car but realized that I was not going to be a test driver for a product that does not appear to have been properly tested! I believe there are 6 to 7 TSB's out on the car already and more coming! In case you are wondering I am a respected retired US Govt Manager and University Professor and am glad to drive and own now this wonderfull auto.

Welcome to S2ki, and I'm glad you are now happy with your new car!

You might want to check out my post here with my mini-review of the 350Z my friend got today. After driving the Z today, I have to say the s2000 is much more FUN to drive.

DO you agree?

I think every car has some sort of issues, it depens on the draw to see if you get a Monday car or Friday car. Good to hear you joined this S side.
