Default $3748/yr for insurance!

By the beard of Zeus! Im glad I bought the car before I got my insurance, otherwise I might have contemplated getting the s2k. Its only $1800/yr for my ZJ, what a huge difference. If your wondering, I'm 20, turning 21 in august, live in southern california and have a clean driving record. looks like ill be eating top ramen alot more now.

These are the only two facts you need to determine why the rate is so high. What is a ZJ? Jeep?

I'm paying about 1,000 a year including every discout availiable from my agent. Multi car, ABS, accident free, anti theft and maybe some others I can't rember at the moment.

That is over twice what I paid for my last car, a Toyota MR2.

21 years old and able to afford $3000/year for insurance?!? I guess everyone in California is rich, like on t.v. No way I could afford that, even now. When I was 20, I was a broke-ass college student!

Mine is about $600 for full coverage, but I can't remember if that's /year or /six months. Can't find the paperwork either. Plus I bought used.

Aside from your age and location, something else that plays a major role in your insurance rate is your credit score. Do you own your home? Pay your bills on time? Past loans are paid off?

Best Wishes,
-Bob
