That 3M tape thingy that quite a few of you guys have on the fronts of your cars..you know, to save your paint from rock chips and dead bugs n stuff.

how do you wash it? Do you just wax n polish just like the rest of the car?

You can wash and wax right over it just like its not there, you just have to be carefull about getting wax in the edge. I comes out fine with a q-tip or you thumbnail inside a cloth. Plexus works very good at shining up the material and is easier than waxing.

As far as washing it, same thing, although I wouldn't use a high pressure hose aimed at the edges until its been on for a month or so. A hand wash is just fine and the bugs come off easier too.

 

I was considering having this done.....I wonder??? Is it really worth it? I know it's quite expensive.

Wow...wish I would have seen this 20K miles ago and 20K chips ago!

 

People will walk right up to the car and not notice that it is even on.. Like I said It is worth the money IMO.. Not one rock chip.
