I can't wait till you get your ECU (Playstation 3 is coming out soon, be patient) and tune it "WITH THE FINAL DRIVE"...let us know how the guys in the best garage in the world will do this (tuning WITH the final drive), PLEASE post the procedure
And regarding handing the M3 his ass, all you can do is hand your ass over to the butcher to make hot dogs.

I can't believe this crap is still is still up here...
My two cents:
I know a lot about cars around people who know nothing about cars...I know nothing about cars around people who know a lot about cars...That's why I shut it and try to learn something on here. There has got to be a reason why no one has agreed with you, and a lot of these guys really know what they are talking about. They are on here because they love S2000s, and they would definately like to believe that their car is that fast, its just not THAT fast.
I agreed with you that it was very unlikely, when someone said 8-9 car lengths (stock M3 vs modded S2000 with 4.57 gears, but the guy would have to be a subpar driver for it to be 2-3 CL stock vs stock.
PS- The S2000 is a fast car, but nobody buys this car to have the fastest 1/4 mile at the track(while you might be able to with $$$$), the car was made made to look sweet with the top down and make you smile everytime you hit VTEC and flew around a tight turn. Personally theres not another car like it.
Go to a local AutoCross and you will understand.
