As for the Deep Cryogenic Thermal Cycling at Thermal Technologies. I know him and you should look at the abc hall of shame. He's on it. Watch out for him. He can't do Deep Cryogenic Thermal Cycling, that is a patented process. He says he invented it but he is lying. Ed Monfort of COLDfire invented it. I hope Thermal Tech didn't mess up your gears. He softened the metal on one peoson I talked to.

Now back to the thread.

Sorry, no attempt to steal the thread but the Thermal Technology guy lied to me and tried to rip me off like he did so many other people.

Good to hear you love them! I've been beating the drum for 4.77s for a while now (saying they are the best bang for the buck mod around).
As for noise, they are not noisy at all. Only the 4.57s have the whine.

They offer better acceleration... sometimes known as the "poor mans supercharger" a different rear gearset can make a world of difference.

Basically, gears don't add any hp and in fact, take away top speed... BUT they "redistrubute" the hp to the low/mid-range; where the car really needs it.

Do it! I sent my diff out on Monday to a member on here who installs gears for $150. I paid $100 for the gears, $100 for the install kit, $150 for install, and about $125 shipping both ways. Less than $500 installed for a set of 4.77s!!!

Got lucky. A member on the board sold a 4.77 set that had been used for less than 1,000 miles to me for $100. If you ever get gears and need them installed for cheap, I will let you know the board member who installs them for $150.
