Default 4.77's installed

I just got my car back with the 4.77's from ricks installed today. I'm anxious to see what they can do but I have to take it easy for a couple hundred miles to break 'em in. Intall was $360 and took 2 days.

Please post when you have formed an opinion.
I am considering the gear change, but researching ratio choices and advantages.

Thanx,
Hockey

Im thinking of doing the same: exhaust oversize throttle body, tune it with a vafc, and get a light flywheel, clutch, the comptech diff reinforcement, and 4.44s.

Now, where to begin.

I have had the 4:77s for a week , Finally put 800 miles on them for break in (under 65mph) ( I drive 150 miles a day back and forth to work) the S usually doesn't do this journey as it's all Highway and only a few miles of back road. Tonight I got on it and broke the tires loose from a launch, then caught second pretty hard. It's a blast. As for the higher revs, I was at 80 on the highway in 6th @ 5200 RPM. Still not bad. You really blast thru the gears and are in 4th before you know it. I can also roll thru stop signs in 2nd , no lugging. The yellow box is also an easy install and it corrects any Spedo & Odometer error. It was off 18% with bald 16" 02s Great mod overall.

What is the Odometer error all about? When my yellow box gets installed it won't correct it from when the gears were installed, will it? Do you have directions on how to install and calibrate it?
