4-point harnesses on stock seats?
Does anyone know how to install 4-point harnesses on the stock s2000 seats? Without cutting, drilling, etc.? My friend has a set of currently unused harnesses and I was looking to use them myself. I got the harnesses attached, but the shoulder straps keep sliding off the smooth "shoulder" curves at the top of the seats, any suggestions?
THANKS

This is generally considerd a bad idea unless you have a rollbar or full cage (or are very short).
The stock 3-point lap and shoulder belt allows your body to shift to the side in the event of a rollover, but a 4- or 5- point harness would hold you upright, and your head would be in trouble.
With a cage or rollbar, not a bad idea. Others here have found solutions; I'm sure someone will chime in, or a search will turn them up.

How much does the Hardtop provide for roll over protection? Thanks!

i have a 5 point harness with my stock seats. for the upper mounts, i use the bitterbar mount and the stock ones for the lower. i initially had the same problem with the side toward the center. the outside one is kept in place by the stock seatbelt holder. i just placed zip ties to hold the center side up. upon tension, the zip tie will stretch and pressure will revert back to the upper mount.

Ah yes....zip ties. I have the two shoulder straps zip tied together in the back to hold them up, then I slid the straps beneath the plastic peace behind the headrest, hiding the zip tie. It's working rather well and I'm still not sure if I want to keep it yet....thanks for all your help.

Where are you attaching the shoulder harnesses to?
Apart from the roll-over safety issues of using a harness without a roll bar, you have another safety issue if you are mounting the shoulder harness too low. It will cause spine compression upon belt tension, and really screw you up if you are in an accident. I've seen the harnesses loop mounted on the stock roll hoops, that is about the right angle.
