Default 6'3" Guy test drove s2000 today

It was a great car, have many questions.

1. People talk about the break in period. What is it, the car I drove had 13 miles on it and he wanted me to take it to 9,000 RPM's

2. What are these things really selling for? I am located in Huntington Beach, Ca

3. Seems weird to drive a car with such little torgue.

I'd had my car for over a month before I hit 600 miles (the magic break-in period), so I'd never felt it VTEC before then. Even so, I'd already found the car to be a blast to drive, and didn't find it "underpowered," or any of the other adjectives detractors use to describe it.

The night I first crossed 6,000 RPM, I started grinning, and then laughing, all the way to 9,000. After I finished running it up in 2nd, I looked at my 14 year-old, and he said, "wow."

"Wow is right," I said. Then after a quick glance back at him, I smiled and said, "Let's do that again!"

We drove around for another 1/2 hour, making my wife wonder why the trip to the grocery took so long...

I am not complaining about the torgue, it just seems weird after my 1973 911s Porsche, that had more torgue then it needed.

YES!!!

I am looking for a Silver with Black Leather, all dealers in the area want about 500 over MSRP.

I knew that you would. You are only 3" taller then I, and 20lbs heavier. So in the seat you are about 2" taller. That leaves about 2" of head room with the top up. But with the top down I bet you can see the streetlights better then I over the windscreen. I wish.

Also some of our taller member have mod'ed the seat and gotten it to fit about 1.5" lower. So this is an option if you need it.

Great color, that is what I drive

You may be able to get it under MSRP, but if you can't, the car is worth an add'l $500. I was apprehensive about getting the S, too--and after my 3rd gen Z and an Audi A4 I thought I'd never get used to the lack of torque. Well, actually I'm still not used to the lack of torque, but damn post 6250 RPMs more than makes up for it.

But to get the most out of the car, don't drive it like you stole it. Drive it like you hate it.
