Has anyone else experienced this? This morning as I was driving to work on the highway (approx. 75 mph) my car slipped out of gear. All of a sudden the tachometer shot up and I looked down to see the transmission out of gear.

This is the third time it has happened, and I am not sure why. Does anyone have any experience with this?

 

Are you sure that you were completely in 6th gear when it popped out? My only thought is that you did not have 6th gear completely engaged, and then vibration caused it to pop out of gear.

 

Gear pop-out has been an issue for some owners, though it's usually 4th, not 6th. It's a straightforward fix -- take it to your dealer.
