Make your car 300-400 pounds lighter and still a nice daily driver. (carbon fiber and aluminum everywhere)

Then just boost your HP by 10-15HP and you'll have a sick car.

2400-2500 pounds and 255HP--------a lot of fun and on a track almost as fast as a supercharged S2000 with aftercooler which will weigh almost 2900 pounds.

I'd rather have a super light S2000 than a supercharged S2000.

It will even handle and brake better!

I think 5000$ should cover the weight savings and 2000$ for you engine should do the trick.

300/400lbs equate roughly to 140/180kg...hmmm, lose that much weight and still keep it a daily car? ... Please tell us how. I doubt anyone could do it without sacrificing something - air con, spare wheel, dashboard, airbags all spring to mind

I wouldn't sink that kind of change into a project until I knew what I was getting into. Have you ever driven a SC car? How about a turboed car? It just sounds like you're not really positive about what you want, so until then, i'd do some more research.

Third week of June? I was going to say "practice delayed gratification", but in this case I'd say "practice barely perceptible delayed gratification".
