I spent most of the night searching for anything more then;

Honda's engineers have tweaked the 2004 S2000's equation a bit, resulting in an improvement in overall body rigidity of approximately 10%. This was achieved through the use of additional reinforcements or bracing at the following locations in the chassis;

1. New cross brace at the very front of the frame (positioned horizontally, in front of the radiator),
2. Reinforcements at key crossmember joints.
3. Additional fixing points to existing braces.
4. Reinforcements to the rear wheel arch bulkhead.
5. The front suspension upper arm brackets were strengthened.

Can anyone with a

Maybe a Honda salesman can chime in here. They seem to be privy to all the technical specs of the '04s...

Come-on now. Don't get this thread closed so soon. The fun just started.

... I know about the X brace, STB, Cusco underbody reinforcement kit, rear tie bar...

I wonder if the X brace and STB add up to more than a "10% increase in body rigidity."

I wonder who came up with the numbers.

The engineers or the marketing guys?

10 per cent up front and 9 in the rear, right? I think that is what I've read. Anyway, is 10 per cent really that much of an improvement to sing about? For example, my friend has a 1999 SAAB 9-3 but he says that the newer chassis boasts a rigiditiy improvement of like 2-300 per cent. It was probably not a hard thing to do since the older chassis was very flexy to begin with but still, from the difference I feel with my x-brace, it feels slightly more than a 10 per cent rigidity improvement from the stock MY03 chassis. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I wonder if "10%" is perceptible in the butt-meter. The way human perception works, sometimes we can detect a 10% difference, like in the weight of two objects, and sometimes we can't, like a 10% increase in sound energy.
