I'm planning on moving to Spain hopefully by the End of this year.

I own an 2002 S2000 with 12,000+ still owed. Purchased it two years ago with at 16,000 plus taxes with 32,000 miles.

I was thinking about having the car shipped from the US to Spain and still pay off the loan or just selling it and purchasing one in Spain. I don't know how much it would cost to have it shipped or even if it is cost effective compare to just buying one there.

I'd like to how much does a used ap1 go for in Spain or any other Country close too Spain. Just to get a clue. But Im having a hard time finding used ones for sale in Spain using the google. I'd like to how much they are going for compare to here.

Can anyone give me some advice or information to help me decide on which direction I should go...

 

I'm afraid I cannot be of definitive help here. However, here are some general points to think about, both good and bad:
1) European prices are sky high compared to the US
2) Check the customs requirements - countries have very different legislations with respect to emissions and safety
3) You will have quite a few additional colours to choose from in Europe (such as Lime Green, Premium Sunset Mauve, Royal Blue etc)

 

Also, your bank may not look fondly on you taking their car overseas.

 

I figure the best thing to do is sale it here and just purchase one over there. And not worry about the hassle of shipping and dealing with emissions and what not.

But I can't to seem to find any sites that sell them in Spain... Would like to know how much they go for... Anybody that lives in spain chime in..

 

As far as i know the car has to be payed off with title on hand in order to ship to a different country.

 

Thanks for the info guys. Im going to sell it and try to find one over there. Just need to find out how much they go for so I know how much I'll need to save to get another one down the road. Best car I ever drove hands down. I can't see myself driving anything else really...
