Default about to trade for a s i need some help

I just had to put a clutch in my 2002 bmw 325i with 110,000 miles on it. I'm really wanting to trade for a 2000-2001 s2k with 60-80,000 miles on it. WHat do you think i will have to pay for the "upgrade".

What do you think i should pay for a s2k with that year and that many miles? also what should i look for when i go and look at one?

please help out a wanna be s2k driver

there's no for sure answer. an '00-'01 s2k with that many miles can run you anywhere from $11k to $9k depending on mileage and condition. Although, if you can get the cash together, you may want to go for an '02 since they have glass rear windows.

Not sure how much a dealer would give for a 325i with that many miles.....you could always post your car in the classified section and see if anyone wants to trade or trade + cash.

Edit: according to Edmunds the private party resale value is $7280 for your mileage and clean condition. So I would expect $1000 to $3000, but if you can find someone that needs a reliable 4-door in the classified section you may be better off.

yea i just looked on autotrader and people are asking 8,000 to 13,000 for cars just like mine. What do you think i should list it at? some where in the middle?

trade in kbb value is 6k, privite party is 8k, and retail is 11k.

s2000s are 9500-12k on autotrader for wehat i want.

would i be better off selling it on somthing like criegs list or autotrader?

I would say post it in as many places as possible....even in the classifieds here. your best deal will be finding someone here to trade with you since you have the "practicality" aspect of a 4-door.

Also, you're definitely gonna loose money on trade-in vs selling it yourself. But you have to realize that you'll have to invest alot of time into selling your BMW and finding the right s2k for yourself....during that time you won't have a car i'm assuming.

Not to mention tax credit if you trade a car in.
