did anyone consider this a/c on w defrost mode also to keep the a/c seals well lubricated during winter months when one would normally not consider using the a/c?

i went out and tried it again and it works.

You dont have to turn on the car to disable it. this is what i did:

1. put in key to AC. Turn both knob (temp and vents) all the way to the left.

2. turn the key off. Push the AC button and Recirculation button down while turning the key to AC. Hold it for about 7 sec. It will start to blink. Once it is done blinking, you can let go. After you can turn on or off the AC when you put it in defrost mode.

I'm excited it works, woo hoo.

Up down left right, hold down A and press Start.

I want a Game Genie for my S2000.
S2K cheat codes!

Good info in this thread! Never knew this could be disabled...I hate running A/C when doing anything but cruising because it robs what little torque the S makes while accelerating up to speed.

As my car is in storage all winter it is safe to say I do not think about this.

I tried this. recirculation came on and then started blinking the first time but I screwed something up, so I tried again....I was never able to get recirculation light to light up or blink ever since....It does work, but not while doing this procedure...and this mod didnt work for me.
