Default Acceleration Problem

My 2001 s2000 has recently had problems accelerating when in gear. The engine seems to rev a few seconds then eventually accelerates. This becomes a bigger problem when I am driving up hills, when in 1st gear the car revs as I step on the gas causing acceleration about 10 seconds later! I am taking my car in tomorrow to get this looked at. Has anyone else experienced this? What may be the cause? Thanks for all the help.

Yep, I think your clutch is slipping. I just changed out my clutch this past weekend, have fun with the install.

sounds like you need to take a visit to hardtopguy.com and check out his clutch kit.

Assuming you need new clutch stuff, get a light flywheel, stock friction disk and upgraded pressure plate. IMO.
