Accord Coupe V6 or S2000...???
Yes, I know these are two completely different cars but I can't decide which one I want. And yes I would get both if I could but that is not an option. So, which one do I get?
Help please---anybody???

I had the same debate one week ago. I came home from the dealership with an 03 Grand Prix White S2k.
After test driving both I really did like the Accord Coupe a lot. I REALLY would have liked it if it had been the 6-speed manual that is coming out. I just loved the S2k though. Right now I have a 91 Accord that I will be using as my beater. I have driven it as my daily for the past five years and I was ready for something with a bit more charge. Like stated above you need to be able to put up with a bit of noise, wonderful noise, and a lack of room. But then again that is what the entire car is all about. I have only put 300 miles on mine within the past week but this is by far the nicest transmission I have ever used. Smooth and crisp with no second gear grind. <knock on wood>
Test drive both. See what you can afford and just do it. I think with either choice you really can't go wrong.

I'm considering trading my '93 Prelude VTEC for the Accord Coupe. I've test driven the Accord. I would wait for the 6 speed manual. That upgrade includes better wheels and suspension. I just got a printout yesterday from Consumer Reports on the Accord V6.
I wish I didn't think the new Accord Coupe is so darned ugly, but I do. I love the length of the hood on my '93 Prelude VTEC and the S2000. The stubby nose doesn't look "cheetah" like to me. I don't really need the large rear seat. I do need one car with better traction than the S2000 with Blizzaks. That is to say I need one car with front wheel drive.
So, for now, I'm considering the CR-V EX 5 speed or auto for my daily driver and the S2000 for fun. The CR-V has enough front wheel drive/ all wheel drive to satisfy me. It would tow my 4 wheeler to the mountains and do fine on trips out of town. It's in the same weight class as the Accord but would do better hauling around bicycles and lawnmowers.
The only thing stopping me from trading the '93 Prelude VTEC for the CR-V is that I still love the Prelude and I'm not sure parting with $18,500 (including taxes, tags, trading the Prelude) would be worth it. I need the Prelude to die, which may take another 5 or 10 years.
Which is to say, if you need a practical car, don't even consider the S2000. It has too little trunk, too little snow traction, too little room, and can never carry a third person even in an emergency. If you can live without that stuff, the S2000 is the way to go. If you need any of that stuff even occasionally, get the Accord or a Civic or a non-Honda product (banish the thought!)
