The C6 will be heavily marked up, and you cant beat 36k for an 03 with 4k miles on it.

Xbusiness, you name does seem familiar. But its been a while since I really browsed that board.

36K for a Z06 with 4k miles is a good deal, no question, (especially if you plan to keep the car for a while).
Historically, when a "new generation" Corvette arrives, it tends to hold its resale value quite well for several years, I suspect that the C5 (and Z06) resale values will take quite a hit when the new car arrives.
Markup? Absolutely, but given the current market situation, you should be able to get at least MSRP within a few months, and it will be a better car (smaller, for one thing and yet with a longer wheelbase).
But hey, if you like the current Z06's looks, (performance is not an issue, it is a monster) congratulations, enjoy what must be an awesome ride.

CORRECTION: Pakisho: On second thought...you are right.
A Z06 at that price has already taken the big depreciation hit and should hold up its value quite nicely.
