Advan model 5
My friend is trying to sell me his advan model 5 that are 18x7.5. I was wondering if this rim will fit my car and that if it is okay to have the same size wheel for the front and back. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Thanks

You need to find the offset of the rims before we can really answer your question. I am pretty sure the model 5 comes in a +45 and +50 offset. Either one should work but the +50 would be a better choice. As for running the same size wheel, front and back. It's debatable, since it really depends on what you plan on using the car for.

Thanks for the input, I believe the offset is +45 and the wheels are only for street use purposes, no tracking. Any other input would be helpful. thanks

It's not a great combo because there aren't any tires that I know of in an 18-inch size that
are below 215mm in width. You can put a 215/40/18 in front w/ a 225/40/18 in the rear but
note the tire diameter between front and back will be around .3 inches but that's not large enough to
throw anything off (rears would be 25-inches tall as opposed to OEM 24.8). You're just not going
to get much stagger (if that's important to your driving style) with same-sized width 18-inch
wheels. The problem you'll encounter is the wider your tire size is, the further out
its edge is going to be. You're going from a stock 7.5-inch rear width wheel with a 65mm offset to a 7.5-inch
wheel with a 45mm offset. 10mm is half an inch outboard right there. In the front, you're going to be outboard .6 inches
which isn't too bad. You can't use a 235/40/18 because that tire is 25.4-inches which would make it .7 inches taller than the front 215/40/18.
If you're dead set on the combo, I'd go with a 215/40/18 and 225/40/18.
