I'm looking at a 2001 with a little under 36000 miles on it. The exterior is perfect and the interior is decent with a little ware on the drivers seat. The top also looks decent with a scratched up rear window. A local dealer has the car and they have came down from 14900 to 13800 and I can't get them any lower. The car is being sold with a 30 day 3000 mile warranty.
I was hoping for some opinions on this deal and what if anything I should be considering when buying an 2001.

 

Get a 2002. Glass rear window is worth it. Plus the later 2002's come with the upgraded banjo bolts so if you do go FI you won't have to worry about them. Wish I got an 2002.

 

02 or up, glass window, upgraded ECU, and its newer lol

 

Definitely get a 02+. The glass rear window is well worth it.

 

$13.8k for an 01 is overpriced.

 

I paid $13,800 last summer for an '01 with 45000 miles, fyi.

 

It's sad how these cars have lost such value. It does make them the best used sports car for the buck though! I sold my 01 Prelude with 81,000 miles on it for $10,500. An 01 S isn't worth much more! wow.

 

Honestly its not worth it! u can buy an 04-06 for a little more.

 

Yeah a couple of years ago that would have been a good price. These days I have seen '05 s2k's go for less than that amount during the winter months on Ebay. Coming from an '01 owner I say definitely find yourself an '02,'03 as the real glass window is def worth it. I hate the plastic window on mine. Looking to replace it shortly and it ain't cheap!

 

all car prices are down now. if you have the money, or the credit, it is a great time to buy. but the quote is over-priced, shop around you'll be surprised. i think you could get that car for half of what they quoted, if you push, and they're desperate!
