Default Advice please for a new girl !

Hi everyone

I've always had MX5's but have bought an S2K she was left standing for a couple of months and now i've got her running and have noticed a couple of points, the bonnet pull had snapped and i'm proud to say i got it open myself minus a few finger nails and some skin ! Got a new battery fitted and now she's running. the points are

The passenger window doesn't work
the bonnet cable has snapped
it needs new rims

I'll keep you updated when i find more things !
Any help would be appreciated !

Mel

...which is a rocker switch located on the drivers door, near window switches. Oddly, with the switch off, neither passenger nor drivers window switches will roll the passenger window.

window could be that switch or a regulator for the window. bonnet cable should be an easy fix. get some 17inch rims so you can run wider tires. wider tires+s2000=

All good fun Holdford, just part of being a Nubie. We really are a good bunch of people and you can't imagine the knowledge found here. Good luck with your car and let me be the 5th dude to tell you to check your window lock switch before you do any other trouble shooting on that window! Surprised no one else offered condolences for the broken nails...
I might be a girl but i'm not stupid, I do know there's a window lock switch and no it isn't on ! At least I got my hands in and did the job instead of whining and asking a 'man' to do it !

Since the switch doesn't work, it could be a fuse (I'm not sure if the two doors are linked through one fuse though)

It's also possible there's a broken wire in the door jamb boot (rubber harness running through door to fender.)

If the window motor is fried, you can check its leads underneath on the motor to see if they get voltage. To do so, you'd need to take off the door and attach a multimeter around the terminals. I'm not sure how to remove the door, however.

Now, I'm not too knowledgeable on these things, can some else chime in on how to actually do these things ?
