Default AEM V1 Intake Question

Okay, after seaching and sifting through countless threads ive read plenty of opinions and beliefs that the bypass valve on an aem v1 intake will take away any hp gains or it will not. does anyone have proven numbers and dyno sheets? something to prove one way or the other? Thank you (will accept extremely good reasoning as well, so far ive yet to read any of that either)

They even say it will lose power on their website. I've got one, never installed it...

It pretty much negates any performance gains you'd get from the intake in the first place...

basically since there are no GAINS, im asking are there any losses. I have both the stock intake, and currently the AEM w/ bypass valve, the AEM is currently installed. My question is based on performance, i dont give a damn about sound i got my invidia here in a week for that would i be better off stock or should i just leave the aem on?

You would experience less hp loss due to heat soak.

I'm assuming you ment OEM instead of AEM.

well since the CAI prevents (or decreases chances of) bogging and hp loss do to heat soak, the performance of your car is better. get what i mean.
