Default AEM v2 question.

How far does the v2 go down, how close is it to the ground. i dont want to take the chance of hydrolocking. I wont be taking the car out in the rain, but if i am out and it starts to rain would be the only reason id be driving in wet weather.
pics would help alot. pic from looking straight down on it, or from under the car!

also, where is a cheap place to find one?(i know it was just posted, i just couldnt find the thread)

thanks alot
nick

i just put on my v2 and the past week it rained hardcore, i had an umbrella over the intake tho, everything was fine, dont worry about it, just dont drive the car into deep puddle or water.

Do a search and you will find plenty. I'll add, I plugged the drain hole that sits above the filter, washed the car this week end and didn't have any trouble. I should mention I cut the vent that is right in front of the filter and sprayed it with the hose pretty good.

the filter sits about 4-5 inches from the bottom of the car. The elbow is about 2-3.

don't know about the sticker.

There is a rubber mount that connects about 4 inches down the pipe from the filter. Mine doesnt budge.

I've been driving cars with cold air intakes for about 4 years now. Snow, rain, sleet, slush, whatever... just need to avoid the puddles.
