Default Aerodynamics

I made a thread 5 or 6 months ago with some CFD results from a very simple convertable study. I've got another car model to play with at the moment so I figured I'd brighten everyone's day again. I'm running my analysis tonight but here are some preview pics of the model itself. Should have some more pretty pics tomorrow

Moving ground plane?

I assume you are interested in the under-car aero. Are you planning simulate any ride height changes?

Interesting
Is is a fantasy model or based on a real car?

Of course. Moving ground plane, rotating tires. I will be simulating a half-symmetry model for starters. For those who understand meshing, the model is running right now with a little over 200,000 nodes. Medium mesh quality at best for this first run.

Ride height, different speeds, drag, downforce, and whatever design changes you guys want to see. Within reason of my CAD skills of course

This is a fantasy model, but I think it looks kind of Bugatti Veyronish. What do you think? I've got her at a height of around 43-44 inches at the moment.

CFdesign. I work for Blue Ridge Numerics, the maker of the software. Perks of the job include me being able to use this stuff in my free time. I LOVE it. It is NOT your traditional CFD tool. We sort of invented another market that we dubbed "upfront CFD". The tool is very easy to use, but this does not mean "defeatured" in any way shape or form. It is used primarily by design engineers who don't give a crap about CFD and don't want to waste their time with it. It enables them to make lots of design changes in simulation to save a bundle of money in the long run by not making prototypes. Please don't take this as a software push by any means, I'm just clarifying the software and it's purpose for those who understand traditional CFD.
