VAFC is a fuel computer that adjusts your fuel curve in order to get you more power. you can also change the RPM at which your VTEC kicks in with a VAFC. forget about a SAFC because its the same as a VAFC except you can't adjust VTEC. im not sure what crome is? and the only thing hondata makes for the F20 is an intake manifold gasket; said to gain some hp through temperature reduction from the head to the intake manifold.

go here for info on the VAFC

go here for info on Hondata IMG

^ I think hes talkin about Hondata...the Stand alone ECU that is a popular option for other Hondas. Unfortunantly they don't make an application yet for the S2000. I believe they do offer for 06's a reflash of thei ECU.

The Stand Alone ECU is far better then a VAFC. It allows for better tuning, while seeing higher gains. But it also costs a whole lot more (over 1k).

so for s2000, the V-AFC is the best tuning among all other kinds. which brand is good and reasonable price. And is it complecated to tune it? cz I know about cars but i dunno a lot....im wonder if i buy it but i dunno how to use it

VAFC is probably the best bang for the buck...but others include greddy e-manage piggyback and the AEM EMS stand alone.

There are 3 types of VAFC available either new or used: VAFC1, VAFC2, NEO. Each gives slightly finer gadiants for tuning. Price can vary from under $100 for used VAFC1 or around $150 for used VAFC2, to $400 for new NEO.

Note that the most critical part is the tuner. Make sure you go to a reputable tuner in your area (post on your local s2ki forum).

Hondata does now offer ecu reflash but only available on MY06+.

yeh but since they don't make a k-pro for the F20C1 and he has a MY00 (not flash-able), i said the only thing hondata makes (for his application) is an IMG; which is true.
