so for s2000, the V-AFC is the best tuning among all other kinds. which brand is good and reasonable price. And is it complecated to tune it? cz I know about cars but i dunno a lot....im wonder if i buy it but i dunno how to use it
depends what you wanna do. simple fuel tuning and VTEC adjustment? - VAFC 2 or NEO. going turbo or supercharger? AEM EMS. there are gains to be had with an AEM EMS on a non-turbo or supercharged motor, but its not necessary and possibly not worth the money to someone who's only looking for moderate gains.

a good way to start off (if you're staying away from turbo or supercharger) is to get intake, header, exhaust (test pipe as well), a VAFC 2 and some gears. that'll give you quite a bit of edge over a stock S2000.

i already have cold air intake, and im planning on the exhaust and test pipe for the next, and vafc2 at the same time, too. but for header, it is really expensive for only 6 hp gain, isnt it??? and what do you mean by some gears?

Richmond 4.57r gears for the differential (available from Rick's and HardtopGuy). Stock gears are 4.10, which gives a theoretical top speed of 166mph for an AP1. Wind resistance normally limits the S2k to around 150-155 top speed. The 4.57r gears matches the theoretical (gear limited by readline) top speed to the aerodynamic top speed (about 150mph).

Benefit however is much faster acceleration. The higher the gear ratio the quicker the acceleration. The lower the ratio the higher the theoretical top speed.

There are 4.44, 4.57, and 4.77 gears for our car. Most feel the 4.57 is the best balance.

i think i would go with V-afc 2....it is useful right??? besides being able to adjust the v-tec engagement, is it hard to adjusting the fuel curve??? because I dun really familiar with this fuel ratio stuff

i would probably get someone to professionally do it, then learn while they're doing it. if you didn't really know what a VAFC was in the first place, chances are you're not ready to tune your car with one.

Crome is another piece of software used for other Hondas (the B-series engines). It's popular because AFAIK it is free. You just chip your computer and then interface the software. Hondata and Neptune do the same for those cars but they cost some cash. Those are known as piggy back systems as they either do something before the sensor signals or after the computer to manage your car's air/fuel/vtec/etc.

The AEM computer actually replaces the whole computer but costs the most.

There are other computer systems as well that are not as popular (Apexi PowerFC,HKS Emanage,Motec, etc)
